CONTEST SCHEDULES
- Schedule draws will be held at the fall region meeting. Groups will perform in draw order unless a school conflict exists. Special scheduling requests must be submitted by the entry deadline for the contest using the following form: Request-for-Change-of-Date-or-Time-UIL-Region-27-Fillable.pdf (uilmusicregion27.com) Requests for special scheduling must be approved by the school principal and district music supervisor.
- Once schedules are finalized and published no changes will be allowed unless two directors agree to change places to alleviate a conflict and the change is approved by the Region Executive Secretary. All changes to the schedule must be approved by the Region Executive Secretary at least 7 days prior to the first day of the contest.
- Any group that misses their scheduled performance time will be moved to the end of the day. If this presents undo hardship to the group, hosts, or judges another arrangement can be made through the executive secretary to perform during a break, if available, with the consent of the judges.
- All groups must perform within their classification if possible. Whenever possible, the schedule will begin with the smaller and/or lower classifications and progress in order of classification. At times, the schedule may need to be adjusted for transportation reasons.
